Elizabeth joins AusHSI as a Health Economics Research Fellow, also lecturing for the Faculty of Health in a number of health management units. She is the Study Area Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Health Services Innovation, a new course developed in partnership with AusHSI, QUT’s Faculty of Health and the Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
Working at Queensland Health for over a decade, Elizabeth contributed to projects addressing nutrition issues during pregnancy and infancy amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the general Queensland population. Her key interests are maternity health services research and informing the development of government policy.
To better inform her managerial decision making, Elizabeth studied a Master of Health Economics at the University of Queensland and completed a PhD at QUT in maternity services research.
