Research Fellow – Statistics
David is an exercise physiologist interested in health and human performance. David’s PhD focused on the perceptual and physiological underpinnings of fatigue during exercise performance in the heat. He subsequently worked as a research fellow at Griffith University in the area of disability and rehabilitation. David uses quantitative methods, including Bayesian statistics, to undertake research directed toward improving human health and performance.
At AusHSI, David works on a range of projects that focus on improving healthcare efficiencies and health outcomes for a variety of clinical populations. His research interests include exercise performance and fatigue in healthy, athlete and clinical populations; as well as acute and chronic responses to exercise training and exercise-based rehabilitation. David is also interested in meta-research on the application and reporting of statistics in sports medicine.
