Gregory Merlo is a guest lecturer for AusHSI’s Graduate Certificate in Health Services Innovation. He holds a Master of Health Economics (University of Queensland) and in 2017 was awarded a PhD from QUT, exploring the role of economic evaluation in healthcare decision making and the factors that determine whether evidence from economic evaluations changes healthcare policy and practice.
Gregory is experienced in modelling for economic evaluation having developed evaluations assessing the cost effectiveness of faecal transfusion for the treatment of recurrent Clostridium difficile, medical therapy of ureteric stones, and workplace vaccination programs for influenza. Gregory led the analysis of the Taking Healthcare Home Forum and the Centre of Research Excellence for Reducing Healthcare Associated Infections Forum.
