Robin joined the AusHSI team in 2016 as a Research Fellow (Health Economics) and has extensive experience working as an analyst in the United States and New Zealand. Robin’s areas of expertise include health policy and economic analysis.
During his time as a Policy Analyst with Covered California (USA), Robin created a predictive model that showed geographical ‘hot spots’ of uninsured populations that were eligible for subsidised health insurance. This allowed Covered CA to target its outreach efforts based on factors such as age, ethnicity, geography, and income with the aim of increasing the number of fully insured individuals – one of the stated goals of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a ObamaCare).
Robin completed a double degree in Economics and International Business at the University of Auckland and in 2016 graduated with a Masters of Public Health (Health Policy & Management) from the University of California.
