Ruvini Hettiarachchi
Research Associate – Health Economics

Ruvini is a health economist with a background in clinical dentistry and public health. Her PhD from Griffith University was focused on developing a paediatric preference-based quality of life measure for oral health.

Ruvini’s current research at AusHSI is focused on health state valuation and preference elicitation using discrete choice survey techniques. With her experience in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health economics, she has worked on research projects in different areas of health including oral health, cancer follow-up care, cardiac diseases, mental health, and emergency care services.

Ruvini has expertise in developing preference-based instruments, health state valuation, and eliciting consumer preferences including designing choice surveys and choice modelling.
