DESCRIPTION:Thanks to support from the Theo Murphy Initiative Australia from the Australian Academy of Science\, we’re excited to launch Essential skills for statistics leadership in consultancy and research\, a two-day Statistical Leadership Symposium for early and mid-career researchers across Australia. \nRunning from 9 to 10 July 2026 in Brisbane and Melbourne\, this dual-hub in-person event aims to strengthen leadership capability among statisticians working in consultancy and research across all sectors: academia\, government\, and industry. \nWhat to expect: \nInternational keynote speakers\nInvited and contributed presentations\nInteractive skill-building activities \nThemes include: \nCross-disciplinary communication\nBuilding a leadership profile\nTransitioning from team contributor to team leader\nSustainable models for research consultancy \nWe thank the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation (AusHSI) at QUT and Methods and Implementation Support for Clinical and Health research Hub at The University of Melbourne for help with organising the symposium. \nGot a question about the symposium?
