AusHSI Implementation Grant recipients announced

AusHSI is pleased to announce the recipients of the AusHSI Implementation Grant Round

AusHSI received 77 applications in our recent funding round for Implementation Grants.  25 applications were shortlisted for further review by the Scientific Review Committee.  6 applicants were interviewed and we are pleased to announce that we have funded 3 projects.

The funded projects are:

Chief investigator: Trudy Dwyer

Collaborating organisations: Central Queensland University, PresCare

Project: Early detection of deterioration in elderly residence (EDDIE): Implementing a hospital avoidance initiative

Chief investigator: Ann Bonner

Collaborating Organisations: Queensland University of Technology, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Metro North Hospital and Health Service

Project: Evaluating the implementation of a Kidney Supportive Care Program into a Hospital and Health Service

Chief Investigator: Maree Raymer

Collaborating Organisations: Griffith University, Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, West Morton Hospital and Health Service

Project: Implementing economic modelling to improve service planning in specialist orthopaedic and neurosurgical outpatient services.

AusHSI Short Courses

AusHSI offers training in the basic skills used in many of our own research projects and in the projects we fund. Our courses are aimed at health researchers (particularly those engaged in health services research) including PhD students, and clinicians or health managers with an interest in the topic area.

Regional and on-site courses

AusHSI also develops tailored courses delivered on-site in regional Queensland locations, in order to make our training accessible to those outside the metropolitan areas. We have delivered training in Cairns, Townsville and Rockhampton. If you would like to enquire about a regional training course, please email us. Please note that regional courses are conducted based on a minimum number of attendees.
