Over the past 30 years, healthcare research has increasingly focused on what matters most to patients, providers, and decision makers. New methods have emerged to measure needs, preferences, and barriers to implementation.

Join us for a seminar presented by John F P Bridges , Professor of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, to explore prioritisation, an emerging approach that differs from traditional methods like discrete choice experiments and conjoint analysis. Unlike these methods, prioritisation assesses the importance of concepts without requiring predefined levels.

About the Speaker

An economist by training, Prof Bridges’ work focuses on understanding patient and stakeholder preferences in healthcare. He has led numerous international initiatives in patient-centered outcomes research, including founding The Patient journal and contributing to key ISPOR guidelines. A recipient of multiple awards, Prof Bridges has authored 280+ publications and is widely recognized for his expertise in preference measurement. His current research explores innovative methods to assess preferences across areas such as public health, regulatory science, and emerging technologies.
