Belinda Lange
Professor in Health AI

Professor Belinda Lange is a strategic leader in digital health and a qualified physiotherapist who joins QUT to co-lead the new AI in Health Research Network. With a 20-year track record of co-design and innovation in clinical practice, her background spans the co-design and evaluation of interactive technologies in both Australia and the US. Belinda’s expertise is underpinned by a unique combination of a PhD in Health Sciences, an MBA, and a Master of Health Economics, Management, and Policy.

Professor Lange’s vision is to grow the field of Health AI by moving beyond just developing clever algorithms and focusing on the critical implementation challenges. Belinda will co-lead the development of a collaborative, interdisciplinary hub that empowers researchers and partners to create solutions that are ethical, sustainable and have a real, tangible impact on people’s lives. Passionate about QUT’s ‘real world’ mission, Belinda offers consultancy on digital health strategy, co-design and implementation, and the development of robust ethical governance for AI and digital technologies.
