Angela Watson
Principal Research Fellow – Road Safety Data and Data Linkage

Angela is a Principal Research Fellow supported by a Motor Accident Insurance Commission funded research fellowship within AusHSI and the Jamieson Trauma Institute. Angela has worked in road safety for over 18 years with a focus on analysis, linkage, and integration of large crash, offence, and administrative health data sets. Angela’s research focusses on the enhancement of road safety related data through data linkage and integration, to provide a more comprehensive picture of road injuries to inform prevention efforts.

Angela is currently working on road safety data linkage projects in collaboration with Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Health, and the Motor Accident Insurance Commission. Angela is involved in the Austroad’s national road crash data linkage project “A National Approach to Measuring Non-Fatal Crash Outcomes”, which aims to provide data for National Road Safety Strategy Serious Injury Indicators.
