Laura Stephensen
Research Project Coordinator

Laura is an emergency department registered nurse with 17 years clinical experience. In 2016 she commenced working on a Queensland state-wide project, the Accelerated Chest Pain Risk Evaluation (ACRE) project. Her first role working on a research project with First Nations Australians ignited her passion for research. Laura currently works as an Associate Nurse Researcher and project coordinator for a number of local and state-wide implementation and research projects.

Laura is passionate about being a non-Indigenous Ally working alongside First Nations peoples and communities for the vision of equity in emergency department experiences and cardiovascular health outcomes.
